Has anyone managed to fit a mudhugger type guard to a manitou fork?

I’ve  tried a mudhugger and one of those stepped zefal ones and there’s just not room. Even if there was it was be hit by the yolk on full compression.

Have fitted a neoprene guard but would like more forward protection.

There is a specific one you can buy, I have one but forget who it's by, and there's an official Manitou one but I always strikes to find out online.

I have a mud hugger fitted to mine just drilled a couple of extra holes to loop some cable ties round the bridge, the tyre is very close and does ocassionaly jam in very muddy conditions

Hi - I've done the same as luke0912 above. Works fine.

I drilled a few extra holes in a mudhugger FR and it was fine with a 2.35 tyre.

I was given a standard mudhugger. I noticed there are a couple of places where the arch touched it. I tried to cut out a bit of the plastic in these areas. Bit of an experiment and didn’t do a great job, looks like I should have a few extra mm a between tyre and guard though.
