Horrible place. I'd rather go to the Peak down the road!

Better still, the Briton's Protection a bit further down

Go once, then forever more go to The Peveril of the Peak or Briton's Protection (as mentioned by my learned posters above). Skip Rain Bar too.

Agree- Briton's Protection is where we last saw WCA on his visit to Manchester.

The less said about that night the better! Its all very hazy.

I wouldn't bother with the Temple. The Peveril of the Peak's only round the corner too

This.

Didnt even finish my pint and i was already pretty drunk, it's about 50 feet from where i'm sitting right now and even if i was desperate for a pint i'd be walking somewhere else.

its defo not owned by guy garvey anymore that i can tell you, they own a pub in knutsford or prestwich now (cant remember which), in fact im pretty sure its not open any more the temple bar, unless it was just not sold or something last time i went past

Last time I saw Guy Garvey was just after I'd exited the place (my last two employers were equidistant).

Both he and I were rather thinner in those days.

Was in there a couple of months ago; Guy stopped in for a beer that night. Of course we were all too polite to attempt to say hello; despite being a little....merry 😉

Its definitely open. I walked past it last night. There are far far better pubs within spitting distance of there though
