You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Just back from riding through macc Forest & surrounding area, coming down the first part of the Clough house descent there was a small yellow helicopter on the track. A large group of paramedics were coming up the hill carrying a person in a sling. It wasn't clear if the person was a walker or a biker. We ducked under the tail of the copter and a little bit down the lane there was an abonded Cannondale lefty propped up against the wall at a very gnarly rocky place, so presumed it must have been a biker that had come off.
Hope it wasn't too serious & that the chap will be okay & somebody got his bike.
Passed through after helicopter took off, chatted to some MXers and they seemed to think the chap was okay, albeit broken wrist and minor chest injury. Mountain rescue were taking the bike off the trail. Looked like a fantastic response by them. Will be donating to their coffers.
Hope the poor chap recovers soon.
A mate sent me this today. Nice parking by the Heli pilot.
When I rode this decent this afternoon I thought it rode great and I was on the Ht. If he did bin it further down the track from the pic where the rock steps are OUCH, you really don't wanna come off there.
Hope all is well, and a quick recovery is made.
Down that way myself today, makes you think abit
Is that the Cumberland brook descent from the A54 to clough house?
I don't recognise it from that pic.
Hope the injured rider is ok
Is that the Cumberland brook descent from the A54 to clough house
Yep that's the one
It's the top section by the looks of it, before the last RH bend before the waterfall & gate. Echoing the hope that all concerned are ok.
