Hello all, first post for a while, need some help from stw Malvern locals.
Planning my first malverns trip in a few weeks and I'm looking for some help with routes,
Looking at an o.s map I'm thinking of starting from the north end car park and head south and back up with maybe an odd detour downhill for interesting bits.
Any good bits worth taking in "off the sides" of the main ridge line?
As always any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks all!

http://www.backontrack-bikes.com/home.html for the most obvious publicly available locals' routes. Of course there's always the usual modern option of checking out the Strava map - you'll do better from that than any explanation I could possibly provide.

Most of the ridge south of the Wyche is not a bridleway, the tracks on the Worcershire side between the Wyche and Black Hill are but very little south of the Britsih camp carpark.
Almost alll of the tracks north of the Wyche are bridleways.

There is a code of conduct for bikers on the Conservators website

Having said all the above, the main thing is to be aware of other users of the hills and just use a bit of common sense. It is very difficult to identify which routes are legit on the ground and there are no markers at the moment

Yes, and? 😉

The code of conduct is mostly sensible advice though - it even includes the addition I was going to give about avoiding busy times (more important if you're not somewhere you're supposed to be, but not significantly so as most of the walkers have no idea).

Though in fact if you want to avoid conflict then go to the far South end where very little is bridleways.

indeed. Locals can not possibly comment.
But the strava heat map will show you the way 😉
