Me and the wife are off to Mallorca next said to be will set up for road biking what I want to know is should I be taking my helmet & road shoes (clip ins) or not bother because you don’t need them because a, they don’t use them and expect you to ride in flip flops no hat or b, you hire the sweaty kit they have on offer?

Please any advice?

We went there on a non-riding holiday in the Spring. The roads were full of roadies in all the gear, unless you look like you're about to do TdF you'll look out of place. 🙂

I heavily recommend the ride out to Formentor (north east tip, from Polenca). It's a bitch of a climb basically up a small mountain but the beach and views are entirely worth it.

agree the Port de Soller - great location, lots of lovely twisty passes.
be aware of the tourist coaches!!! get out early to avoid them and cars overtaking them on your side of the road.

2 weeks of awesome weather i had and riding too.
enjoy
