Any pointers for a few of us self guided.
What am I looking at cost wise, flights and HB accommodation.
Puerto Pollenca is the place to stay IMHO
Flights should be £120 including bike bag
Per week
Accommodation £200 half board based on 2 sharing a room
Car hire £50 each including fuel based on 3 in a doblo type thing
Hotel Duva is nice, Pollensa Park is OK, but a bit big IMHO
Bruce is the man for repairs / advice when you're there - http://www.procyclehire.com/
Exactly what he said...make sure you go down the cape to the lighthouse...one of the best runs I've done on a bike....enjoy,it's ace.later you leave it the better the weather.we went in march one year and they're was a fair bit of snow on the tops
As already said really - thinking of doing the same later next year too - Majorca's stunning (well, provided you avoid Palma Nova, etc!).
Have been a couple of times and I'd consider Soller as a place to base yourself. If there's a few of you, renting a villa can work out well. Tramantura Tours in Soller or Port de Soller for bike hire if you need it.
Soller is OK, but I'd not want to base myself there for a road riding trip as you'd be riding the same steep roads getting out of the place every day.
Lovely place though for at least a couple of day rides from PP.
Hi
Have a look at www.cyclingabroad.co.uk which lists lots of cycling friendly hotels and apartments in Majorca.
Also advice on flights and lots of other things!

£150 for four night three to an apartment so £50 each.
Rather than take bikes were renting them from here.
