I know upgrades are a constant here on STW, but I'd thought I'd share my excitement at my recent major one for my Sherpa.

Being in the fortunate position of having some cash to splurge, I considered replacing the hardtail with something a bit more bouncy, but after much to-ing and fro-ing decided I just love the Sherpa frame so much I'd treat it to some wheels and bars of finest Canadian carbon, new fork, stem, 185mm dropper as well as some other minor components.

It's my only bike (mostly space reasons), so I need something that covers all my riding, from the commute (road and XC) to trails, some jumping, days in the Peaks and general hooning. The aim is to get the best balance of weight, rolling resistance, stability, robustness and playfulness.

-Yes, I know the decking could do with a recoat, but I'm waiting till spring.

-Stem height and bar width will be finalised and cut accordingly in a few weeks.

-Blue chainring is a legacy swapover thing. Its replacement will be black.

How does it ride? Too early to give any meaningful feedback. I'm still at stare and drool stage.

Love that. I’m also a one bike man, for similar reasons as you, and have a Swichback; very rarely to I wish for anything more.

That is indeed some very fine eye candy 😎

Don’t worry about the chainring, it kinda goes with the plant pot 😉
