I'm thinking of getting a Spesh Stumpjumper. It has Magura MTS brakes.

Are they any good? Any experiences to share?

I love shimano and hope, I hate sram...... BTW.

Thanks in advance,
SB

Ok had a great days riding at Afan today the magura brakes were pretty good had no problem stopping 15st on a big wheeler one finger braking. Lever feel took a bit of getting used to coming from shimano but once used to it was easy to go from bars to levers. Modulation felt good from slight drag to wheel lock and balancing just before locking up was easy to master. Aggressive looking rotors induced some funky vibrations on occasions depending on speed and brake pressure. They didn't explode or kill me and performed well compare well with my xt.

Got a set off here recently and they've been fine.

I've used Magura brakes for years and these continue the 'couldn't ask them to do any more' theme. I've not been doing much off road riding lately due to injury but was out yesterday and they're impressive brakes.

Make sure you bed them in carefully would be my only advice.
