Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Magicshine brand? Im looking to purchase a light and have come across this company that seem to retail there products at a great price. Im looking at the Eagle M2 but im finding very few reviews about the company/products. Can anyone shine a light for me (excuse the pun lol)?

Alternativley can anyone suggest a decent front light for off roading with a pricetag of around £100 or less?

I use a (£30 when bought last year?) http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/LIMSMJ900/magicshine-mj900-1200-lumen-led-bicycle-light as my primary commuting front light.

No complaints to date, working fine again this autumn now I need lights to cycle to work just after 0630.

Not only fantastic lights, but their customer service was second to none.

Mine and my colleagues are going on a 14 months strong and no issues to date 🙂

I have one of the original 900 lumen ones from deal extreme (bastid) still going strong 6 years on - it did need a bit of fixing a year back but still use as a helmet light

I've not tried magicshine so far but have geardcsone of their lights are ok.

I've tried lots of the cheap Chinese eBay lights and they've been ok - the thing that kills them is the connectors can fray / snap off I've found. Got to be careful with charging the batteries too.

This year I'm trying a Torchy BK 6ix which I got from eBay. All the guys batteries get good reviews online so thought I'd try one if his lights. Only used it commuting so far and it's silly bright. Run it on the low setting at dusk and you can see how much light it's putting out.

Going to be trying it off-road over the next couple of weeks. You can get it with 2 sizes of battery for either £29.99 or £39.99. I can't remember which one I've got but only had to charge it once so far.

I have Nestler lights which seem to be listed with Magicshine so not sure if the same or different.
Had them about two years still working fine. Always charge them outdoors just in case of dodgy charger. Only comment is the light is slightly in the cold spectrum so everything looks ghostly at night.
My batteries still going but burn times a bit low compared to others.

I've got the Magicshine MJ-906, pretty happy with them. Did have a battery fail within the warranty period, was replaced really quickly, great customer service.

My magicshine light is maybe 4 years old...still going strong. Well built piece of kit.

Would buy another if I needed to.

Mine is about 7 years old I think. Went well for two years was stored in shed for 5 years and have got it out again now. Still strong enough and enough battery for 2 hours so I would say they are pretty good.

Majicshine MJ880 here for nearly 5 years, going strong, battery good, connections, buttons all spot on. Just bought a second battery to power me for the 'puffer in January, would buy again.
