The title may give a hint, I’ve bought a Magic Mary for the gloop, but can i hell as like fit it to any of my wheels. It’s the SG casing so i expected a reasonable amount of cursing but I’m now at my wits end. I’ve tried it on a Deemax DH, a Giant AM, and a SunRingle Duroc, all to go on my ebike, as the rear of a mullet setup. I cant even get it close to fitting any, even getting one wall over the rim edge is a fight an a half.
I was planning on using it with a Cushcore but that is simply out of the window now.
Anyone out there using this tyre actually have it fitted to any particular rim??
Sounds like a dodgy one.
Never had an issue with a Super Gravity casing (650b and 26"), except with an insert (Pro Core) and Stans Flow. Was a fight to fit and remove.

It's all in the technique. They will go on any rim, even Hope with a DH Cushcore in if you have the technique nailed...
Where are you based?
Yep, tell me about it!

Cushcore bead dropper was the key to getting them on.
I had a lot of trouble and swearing getting a rock razor SG casing onto a 26" crest rim. It did eventually go with the help of some windoline to help it slide a bit better. It inflated without sealant and was still inflated the next day when i went to put the sealant in, thankfully through the valve. it anything ever happens to the tyre its getting cut off!
Surprisingly easy on my ex511. 650b.
I've had little issue getting a SG MM onto Roval Alloy or carbon rims or the stans flow rim which last a few rides because they're made of cheese...
I just fitted a Big Betty SG to an EX511 rim, using a metal tyre lever and a fair bit of manual persuasion.
I'm gonna see how it goes without an insert, but if I decide I need one, it should have loosened up a bit by then anyway.

Metal tyre levers inadvisable, you can damage the rim or even the tyre beads with them if you're not careful... There are decent plastic tyre levers out there on the market.
That said, DT rims are the easiest to fit tyres to out there... 9 times out of 10 can put a SG Mary on an EX511 with just thumbs, no levers, and get it to inflate straight away... Will usually come off without a lever too.
