My 2.35 magic mary needs changing and I was just going to stick a 2.6 on. Before I do that any one have any other suggestions for peak and wharncliffe friendly high volume tyres?
Not sure what wheel size or rim Internal diameter you’re looking At putting it on, but my MM 29x2.6 does come up much / any bigger than the 2.35 on my 650b bike. That being said the 2.35 is one of the old ones (pre orang lines / addix) and I vaguely remember talk of the new ones being narrower though. Problem you’ve got is there’s few better tyres for the riding your describing. Maybe try a Michelin wild enduro - seems similar and gees yoot reviews
Specialized Hillbilly a bit cheaper than a MM.
The 2.6 Mary is an amazing all-rounder, do it.
(assuming you have 30mm+ internal rims)
Best tyre I’ve ever used- do it!
I run one on 27mm ID rims and it blows up to 2.5”. In some ways the 2.6 is the ‘new’ 2.35 (which is now smaller than it used to be).
Heavy though
What those 2 said, do it.
Anyone tried the MSC Hot seat? Looks rather good too.
If you fancy a change, Vittoria Mazza 2.6

To confirm the newer addix Marys in 2.35 come up very skinny - I'd definitely go for a 2.6
I'm running 30mm internal so it sounds like 2.6 mm is spot on. Thanks.
Slight threadjack 😎 - anyone ever go 2.6 on 23mm internal? (Hope Enduro) - experience? Died?
Yes get one, an amazing tyre. If mine ever where's out I'd be keen to try the Vittoria Mazza, but that appears to be a few years down the line...
