What is written on the spine of it?

[edit]

The magazine that is. Not small ladies called Elaine.

Just thought I'd clarify.

Although, if Elaine does have any tattoos that she wants to share with the massive...

My copy arrived this morning, so they should be around about now. Apparently there was a delay at the printers, so it's a little late. Sorry about that folks. This issue looks rather good too 🙂

elaine anne can I just point out that TheSwede is a member of the elitist ‘spelling police’, if you are to be married and you happen to make a spelling error he’ll be on your case with no let up. To be honest I’m surprised he’s taken such a shine to you, what with the lack of use of capital letters in your name and your punctuation errors.

I can understand why internet dating may be his bag though.

And TheSwede can I just point out that Just thought i'd say should have a capital ‘I’, thought I’d best point it out.

Yougart. 🙂 Not merely a spelling mistake but a comedy fail that has amused the hell out of me due to the ease of which you bite sir. Now put down your handbag and and take it like a man. Now back to Elaine. Ready to commit.

I've got a subscriber one waiting at home.

Can't remember what I said now anyway.

Is this going to cost me another 4 quid?

You really do have a very sad life.

Hardly bite, just taking the piss. Do you honestly think I'm being serious.

I’ll leave you to your prepubescent excitement at the fact a female is in our midst. I'm off to meet my wife for lunch.

When I get a chance to sit down and read it will I get some explanation of the meaning of, "raw flappit?" Is it a phrase one can allow one's lady wife, children or servants to hear repeated?

Uhh urm. Oh yes, my other half. Well I've built her up a bike and took her out for the shake down ride on sat. Nothing fell of the bike. Not even her so its all good so far. I even made her ride down the side of a loose embankment that i have seen men chicken out of. Good girl. Must up date fanny bashers post. Still, always looking to trade her in for a smaller / younger / female model..

If memory serves TheSwede posted pics of his good lady's 'parts' brushing the seat tube of her bike. Cruel wags (or was it TheSwede himself?) suggested her 'parts' actually constituted 'a package'.

One day she will discover this forum and then we are all in deep poo. Some of us more than others. Oh she is female alright but if you locked arms with the beast you would ask for a gender test. She wrestles race horses around all day and 15st of man is no match for her forearm strength. Here we go again.

Thing is if you look at the Issue 52 page here on STW, Chipps was moaning about problems with contributors this month. If he is ever short again surely he could find each month many potential articles nabbed from here 🙂

Surely there are some readers whose photos on the cover would boost sales?

Todmorden is in Lancashire no matter what the Council may claim. However there are plenty of not rights there so maybe the Yorkies can keep it!

Simon - Chipps was one of the "absent contributors" as he was away for the production of issue 52. The moaning was written by me (as stand-in co-editor with Sim) 🙂

Tod has always been in Yorkshire

The historic county boundary between Yorkshire and Lancashire was marked by the River Calder which runs through the centre of the town. The historic border remains but the administrative border was altered by the Local Government Act 1888, whereby today all of Todmorden lies within West Yorkshire.

the only reason people put lancs on the address is because its postal sorting office is in Oldham (hence the OL14 post code) which is in greater Manchester

so those people who say Tod is in Lancashire have been wrong for the last 121 years but they have also been wrong since 1974 when Lancashire was partially divided and Greater Manchester was created.

my Birth cert also say in the county of york (internet hi-five to catnap)

oh and back on topic, why is my mag always 1 or 2 days later than everyone else's?

things like that are not uncommon. there are a lot of the outlying villages around here in Sheffield that are in Derbyshire but have a Sheffield South Yorkshire post code.

Actually Tod has had a hospital. Stanny (stansfield) view mental hospital, formally the Fielden Joint Isolation Hospital and before that the Todmorden Union Workhouse. It was a VERY impressive building. its now been demolished and turned into a housing estate below stoodly pike.

I however was born at 12 Erringden St (my mum and dad's old house). home births 29 years ago were a little unusual but it was given the OK by the midwife as my mum is a nurse and my god farther is a doctor hence my middle name being David, as in Dr David Ryland. you might know him if you've ever been to Tod doctors.

and yes, unsurprisingly i know where Halifax is and what county its in. my local knowledge isn't any where near as bad as yours.

Mental hospital aye, shame it isn't still there judging by some of the locals I come across. Take the nutter on the canal bank telling everyone about his cheapo Woolies baseball cap . 😀

Back to the mag. I've only got about 2 articles in. Left it on the train on the way home. 🙁 Is it worth rebuying?
