I like the look of these. Bit weighty and British crud might get into them depending on build quality, but I like the concept. I ride flats, tried SPDs and struggled on the trails and nearly killed myself at Whinlatter, but these seem to be the best of both worlds.

Worst of all worlds, planet raping, mud incompatible, foot anvils. Bag o' shite.

Planet raping? Are you referring to the use of "rare earth" materials?

I would assume he's referring to the use of rare earth metals in the production of some types of magnets.

Is there a risk of "Magnetic Woo" getting into your feet?

What will happen if you ride past an iron filings factory?

Actually, you're dead on there.

They'll attract grit, like, a pile of sand.

So in conclusion I don't think bikergirl25 should get these pedals.

These are a genuinely appalling idea, I just don't see what you're getting that you don't get with normal SPD's but can see plenty of things won't work as well.

Holds your foot...A bit, but not much, not enough to pull up, maybe not enough to hold it at all in mud.

It's a no from me.

I obviously haven't tried them so this is conjecture but wouldn't the unpredictability of the release tension be a problem? I'd feel more confident in real SPDs popping off in the event of a crash as I've found they always do.

hey GFS. If bikergirl25 isn't interested in you, I could introduce you to Davina from Estonia who would love to meet a passionate middle-aged man for fun and cuddles. She is just like bikergirl25 in many ways, not least in those aspects of her personality which are entire fictional.

I'd like to try them, but I'm not expecting to like them.

But then I like being clipped in.

If they add a little security to a normal flat pedal (not many SPD shoes have soft enough soles though), then there might be some takers.

I have no idea about the eco credentials of the magnets.

What are the bikergirl25 references about?

Are STW paid to put this sh*t on the front page?

These pedals are clearly rubbish, and those wheels are even worse.

There was a spam post yesterday about these pedals from a new user called bikergirl25. Now removed by mods.

I'm sure putting this stuff up results in being paid, but not directly.
Clicks innit 🙂
