I've been looking at waterproof shorts and saw the Madison Road Race Apex 3/4 Overshorts and thought they might be good for commutes. Only problem is I'm not much of a lycra wearer. Wondering how they'd be without wearing them over anything but underwear/padded undershorts. Also not a road rider, would they cope with light MTB mixed road/off-road commutes, do they restrict movement at all as they look quite close fitting?
