Okay so under current circumstances I'm not going to say I'm shocked but is there anything official on this? The only way I know is that the Facebook event was first cancelled then deleted, I've had no email confirmation and the No Fuss pages are both massively out of date.

Yes I'll be sending an email but was just wondering if anyone had anything more concrete before I hear back.

I was aware No Fuss were struggling a bit even before this year. This might be the end of them. I can imagine event insurance must be horrendously difficult to arrange for the the foreseeable and realistically, I can't see mass participation events being possible until late next year.

No 2021 events at all on their website. I'd not be at all surprised if it's cancelled but it's kind of very un-No-Fuss to do it this way, so I'm kind of waiting to see if there's more.

Must be a hell of a time to be trying to run an events company.

Shame, got a carried-over entry from last year (also for GT7, 24/12, etc, etc, etc)
Can't say I'm surprised though, not expecting much to be on this year either.

Okay so I've got some second hand info about Facebook randomly cancelling stuff. Watch this space.

Anyone heard any more?

According to companies house, there was a move to strike off No Fuss Events but it was subsequently cancelled. Also looks as though there's been a Judicial Factor appointed according to the filings, which would indicate they're being wound up.

If it's the end, it's a sad day. They've always put on great events and I doubt we'll get anyone to fill the void for the foreseeable. 🙁

Hopefully someone will fill the void as you say.

We're kinda stuck with events companies though, road clubs, even running clubs generally put on events, but clubs in MTBing aren't as prominent IME. Maybe the likes of Adrenalin uplift or Nevis and Glencoe themselves may step up to the plate.

That is a real shame...I was hoping 10 Under would be on again at some point, but sounds as though the whole shooting match is going.

Would be nice if they just said something. I appreciate it won't be easy to deal with but there will be plenty of folk that are paid up for events that would appreciate a heads up.

I couldn't care less about the money at this point tbh, it's the lack of comms that's bothering me. Email appears to have been ignored.

I wouldn't pay that much attention to what's filed on Companies House.
Knowing Frazer, he probably forgot to file the confirmation statement.

Frazer and Spook are still around, but the last I spook to somebody involved, they'd taken the decision to cancel all events until they know they're likely to be able to run events again.
They are lucky in that they both do have other jobs, so they're not totally reliant on running events in order to survive, unlike some other organisers.

I'm sure they'll update everybody once they have a better idea on what's actually going to happen.

It's been over a month since cancellation followed by radio silence, how long do they need?

possibly as long as it takes before they know what they'll be able to do running events.

no point in saying anything untill they know what is happening themselves.

and i've got macavalanche and 2 SES entries carried over from last year.

Yeah but surely an email to tell you it's been cancelled is better than nothing? I emailed them to confirm whether it was the case and had no reply. All I have to go on is the fact it was removed from the Glencoe Facebook page.

Anyway, I'm going to stop before it looks like I'm just looking to slag them off, I'm not but comms is definitely not their strong suit.

maybe not but the couple of times i have emailed in the past when i've needed an anwser on something specific i have had reasonably quick replies.

also yes it was removed from the glencoe page but i don't think it had ever been put up on there website.

A holding post on NF Facebook/website would do.

"Dear all our intention is.....but...... We'll let you know as soon as we can."
