OK, so this isn't a PC vs. Mac, cos I've already made my mind up! 🙂
Im looking to buy an i-mac this weekend, and have gone onto Pixmania, as there prices look cheap.
However, the products dont line up with the apple store, lots of different product codes for the 21.5" I-mac.

Can anyone shed any light? Im after the basic 21.5" i-mac, as featured on the apple store.
Thanks.
Seeing as how this is in the bike forum, I thought it was going to be a question about waterproof cycle capes.
Just go to John Lewis
That link looks like the same spec one on the Apple website

Pixmania are showing snow leopard rather than lion though. The apple store one should come with Lion, but you may get a free upgrade voucher with the pixmania one.
Don't mess around, go straight to Apple, either;
- Bargains from the refurb store. If what you want is not available there are sites that do RSS feeds to alert you when what you want does appear.

- Get friendly with a student/teacher/lecturer. Very similar discount to refurb store but also comes with the 3 yr rather then 1 yr warranty at no extra cost (they keep quite quiet about that though and still try and sell you 3 yrs Applecare at a big discount - all it gets you is longer telephone support).
ill send you an educational store link if you mail me
£879.60 for the lowest spec iMac

that wont work, you need to be physically in a univeristy or college to order through the education store, or was it a joke?
When I bought a mac recently through the educational store (different discount to the Uni store) it didn't ask for any proof at all.

It does work. You just need the correct url.
...anyway, OP go to the Apple store if you can. Pixmania might be cheaper as they will not be the mid 2011 upgraded iMacs, which are the latest ones.

no you dont, you just need as has been said, the correct URL - both macbooks in my household have been bought through an educational link
All you need for the educational discount is here
