Hello

yep got the lyrik ... my weight is 85 kilo, riding technical single track.
I used to ride a reba, and really liked the motion control, i always set the compression full on, so the fork was riding high in its travel, can i adjust the lyrik to the same ???, and please tell me what right knob does, with lsc, hsc...

Thanks!

Don’t do that with a Lyrik, it’s a much much better fork!

I’d open the LSC and HSC all the way and get your sag and rebound sorted. You can then balance the support when pumping by either adding more LSC or adding more air pressure, and the resistance under big impacts with more HSC, more air pressure or more tokens.

LSC about a third of the way on and HSC off or one click, with 25-30% sag works well for me at the same weight with a 160mm 29er RC2 but mine is the previous damper with firmer HSC.

What travel are you running?

FYI, I’m 90kg and have the following in my Lyriks:
105psi @ 140mm
110psi @ 130mm
90psi @ 170mm

I have RC2's on two bikes, rebound is 7/8 from fully open, 1 click HSC from full open, 5 click LSC from fully open.

I have the RC2, pre-Ultimate but basically the same damper AFAIK.

HSC all the way open and LSC a few clicks from fully open.

I set my Lyric Ultimate up using RockShox's Trailhead App, see link below:-

https://trailhead.rockshox.com/en/

I the ran a ShockWiz on the fork and it agreed with the Trailhead App settings. So I'd start with the App and then adjust from there as necessary.

i don't think so, it says rct3... and i has the adjustment, look at the picture, for open, pedal, firm.... ... just like my old revelation fork... i just liked how it rode, like hight in its travel, no wallowing.... !

oh fork is a 160 mm, Pivot mach 6,

A picture of the forks would assist greatly, as you seem unsure of what you have.

You’re right, my mistake, that’s the RCT3 damper, which is really a step below the RC2 damper. I guess you could downgrade to it if you want to be able to switch between open, pedal and locked modes.

If you want your Lyrik to feel like an old Revelation I’d sell it and spend some of the proceeds on buying the older cheaper worse fork! 😉

But it shouldn’t wallow if you put enough air and/or tokens in and wind on enough compression damping.

They are good forks but mid support isnt all that

put 2 or 3 tokens in you air side...
around 90-100psi would be good for your weight but it all depends on tokens and any extras

i run a luftkappe or whatever its called and made a noticeable difference

however my charge damper needed a bleed so I've ordered a hc97 a year later to try and get even more out of them

If you want a charge 2.0 compression circuit you can buy mine for very little.. and it'll have those settings on.. but personally you're better with upgrading not down.
