Has anyone used the above fork with mrp’s ramp control cartridge? I’ve just won one on eBay to go on my yari’s hat are now basically Lyriks. I’ve got the rct3 Charger 2 damper, skf seals and a 2019 debonair air shaft.
Thought it would be nice to be able to dial in progression rather than have to spanner the top cap off and screw / unscrew tokens. I know it works slightly differently as it’s not just a volume adjuster but a speed sensitive valve.
I’ve currently got 2 tokens in the fork but that was just guessing at what was required. It would be good to work out 2 settings - 1 for heavy hitting uplift days with more progression and one for more normal trail centre days with more linear / plush travel where you aren’t going to get huge hits.
Thinking it might be worth hiring a ShockWiz as there are now so many adjustments on the fork!
Anyone?
Got one on my rct3 pikes. I like it as you can just dial in some more ramp up as you feel the need on the fly so to speak. Fairly sure that I read they are not compatible with a shockwiz though, but tbh I don’t think you need it for the mrp.
I've got one in my 36's - it's bloody brilliant. Very different than just tokens, the way it allows you to lower psi and then have better midstroke and ramp up is awesome. Pretty much ended arm pump for me, and only when you go onto another fork without it do you realise how good it is 👍👍👍
I’ve read that since my original post - maybe because it’s a separate extra air chamber it messes up the ShockWiz.
Good to hear Andy - I’m hoping to have the best of all worlds once fitted and setup. Plush, with mid stroke support and a ramp up at the end. Since I added the charger and new air spring to the fork t feels a lot better than with moco and the old air spring. The mrp should let me top it off with fine tuning of ramp up. I’ll just have to play around with it to get the right setup for me.
