I’d very much like to post this on the trail sabatoge thread but for some reason it keeps telling me to log in, even though I am. Love the features.
Anywhere, just to say to the Soton riders, who ‘suspect’ it’s the lady in the house at the start of motorway is that it definitely was in the past (2 or 3 years ago now) as I caught her and had a word, also mentioned I knew where she lived...since then there has been little trail blocking apart from at the usual times when the kids are bored and not in school. However with the lockdown it’s definitely increased again, there was a reasonable log down across one of the berms on lordthorne yesterday morning. Somehow I don’t think it is still her, I reckon mostly bored kids, the sort that set fire to a patch of it a few weeks back.
And I do agree, much more footfall, whilst a bit annoying means I haven’t seen a motorcrosser or stolen moped there in months..!
Your not the only one to have caught her. Think WCA did in the past as well.

To be fair I’d take sticks over thugs!
Going on 5 or so years ago I was nearly liberated from my bike by a couple of hooded yoofs on a stolen bike MX bike with a baseball bat. I’ve still ridden, but picked my times carefully & have always been hyper aware of any bikes in the wood.
I’ve probably ridden there more since lockdown than the last 5 years put together. Really enjoying seeing the forest being used by everyone BUT the Lordshill thugs.
We’re moving away soon, but I hope it continues 🙂
Yes I suppose that’s one way to look at it, I always head into the trails as rapid as I can when I spot or hear them, even on crossers they’d struggle to keep up on the tight single track! Avoid the area west of tanners as that’s open and they seem to hang out there more....wonder whether they will be back now they’ve stayed away for months, it was noticeably quieter yesterday morning, hopefully they have found something more worthwhile to do with their lives.
And conditions are amazing, plus I’ve been walking with the kids there a lot so have been taking my loppers and keeping the undergrowth back. Almost wish I’d been furloughed so I could have ridden there more than a couple of times a week
