On holiday for week down there. Is it worth taking the mountain bike? Not a part of the world i'm familiar with so any advice gratefully received.

Lustleigh has some good stuff. I've not explored it properly though, only scratched the surface. Good GPX routes/map required or a guide. Search for Lustleigh Cleave MTB, plenty of stuff about it and videos.
If you like tight technical trails with a bit of a carry / push then sure, it's really really brilliant!

Some of the best riding on Dartmoor round there. Though durubg the height of summer it can get a bit overgrown. When are you going?

Spent last week revisiting Dartmoor. It’s got some stunning rides with Lustleigh possibly providing the cream of the crop, with an extension to Hound/Hookney Tor/Headland Warren a must-do. The Bowermans Nose descent is awesome at the moment with all this dry weather but heavily overgrown...
