Morning!
I used to race 24 hour MTB many years ago, and after a long break from night riding I am keen to get back into it again. Technology seems to have moved on somewhat, with insane lumens available. I am happy to pay more money for a quality product, and since I remember Lupine, I am, drawn to their lights. Having looked through the range, I think the Wilma X7 is the one. I am assuming that a well established German company will have the quality and reliability that I want, plus the performance looks excellent: high powers, decent run times etc. But, am I missing something? I don't feel like I would want to buy something much cheaper from a Chinese company I have never heard of, I am much happier buying from the well known brands, even if it costs more money.
Looking forward to any opinions.
Thanks and happy Sunday.
My Hopes (R2 on lid, R8+ on bars) have been excellent.
Having had an older Lupine and now run a old Wilma given to me, I think they are good but are also over priced without the benefit of being miles ahead of the competition quality wise.
Personally I'd be buying two light instead (bar/helmet) instead of one stupidly bright unit. Lots of decent brands Hope/Gloworm/Exposure (for example) without resorting to the chinese stuff, though don't right off chinese stuff with the proper backing (not ebay/alibaba).
Thanks Tom and Z1ppy.
