Does anyone have 'lucky' numbers for their race plates?

I know a lot of motorbike racers keep their numbers. Can you do that with mountain bike events?

If you could choose your race number, would you?

I've been number 001 in the Midlands XC series this year.
Both my races so far have been awful.

It's definitely not my lucky number!

I got 007 once and thought I was so cool until I walked into a branch and almost poked my eye out.

Didn't even make the start

79. Got given this number for 2 of my 3 dusk til dawn solos. The one I didn't have 79 for was wet, horrible and rubbish.

Edit: the two where I had 79 were dry and dusty 😀

Liking the look of the big bike bash, not sure I want to be the one responsible for the weather though 😯

As a music nerd i was chuffed to bits to get 303 for a couple of xc races a few years ago. Didn't help how slow i was!

I think someone from the BBB reads this website. Look what appears on the ticket page:

£5.00 – You saw all the doods with the green tee’s last year sporting their name on their number plate and you secretly thought “I want some of that personal action too !” – here is it add your name to you number and don’t forget that all proceeds go to charity. Why not choose derogatory nicknames for your family when you book – it’ll be a fun talking point for you in your tent all weekend !

A mate of mine always 'baggsies' No69 for the CVMBC each year.

69 Coca Cola is a bit of a mouthful...

reminds me of a sign in a special club my friend used to got to. In the same font and with white script it proudly announced "We serve Cock a Colon"
