For mrs rocket who has narrow size 6 feet and wears Five Tens

Currently using some ancient Kona Wah Wahs. Has tried some low-profile but slightly concave NS flats and would prefer a flatter profile. Budget £50

Many thanks

Superstar Nano Evo isn’t a small profile - they’re chuffing huge! Bought a pair a while ago and love them - so much grip but they are big.

For a smaller platform that are very light try Wellgo MG1’s. Still grippy and light as they’re magnesium bodied, but you can probably pick them up for £25-£30. Mine have been smashed off rocks and ridden through all sorts of mud but the bearings just keep going smooth. I upgraded to Exotic alloys and Nano evo’s for a bigger platform under my size 9 Five Tens. If the mg1’s had been a bit bigger I probably wouldn’t have bothered changing.

Size 7 feet here, and the Wellgo MG-1s work well. As with all flats you need foot position to be further forward than with spds, otherwise the ball of the foot has nothing to grip on

Mine have just died after 7 years because too many pins have ripped out (I ride fairly technical stuff, some DH etc). The grease inside was still like new; they’re well sealed for UK riding

Hmm the Wellgos are a good size but they are quite tall, The Wah Wahs are 100 x 100 x 17

Wah Wah 2s are thin but bigger 😐

Where are you based? You’re welcome to try my Welgos for a bit as I’ve gone back to spds for a few months

The Boardman flats fit your description. I've got a pair and they've been great.

MrsbeanZ , size 5 in fivectens uses the plastic nukeproof jobbies . She prefers them to her old nano x ones .

Forgot about those boardmans. A mate has them and rates then. Bearings are smooth / quite thin platforms / look nicely made and pretty cheap.

I've got the same problem, tried loads but keep going back to my lo pros. Well over 10 years old now. At some point they will die on me.

Alpkit Distortion pedals, platform that's not massive and it's pretty thin.

I don't want to high jack the thread, I have question regarding the nanos. The dimensions from the website are 101x110. Which direction is the 110? I'm after something that is longer along the length of the foot.

By the way, the Boardman pedals are small, they come up at around 95x95 a bit too small for me. Being the cheap skate I am they came with the bike and I can't find anything close at the price.

Thanks folks those Distortions look pretty much perfect and maximum Singletrack as well. Good price on the Boardmans will drop by Halfords and have a look

Can't believe i'm recommending them, but the Crank Bros flats come in (3?) size options?
