This is my first post on here, hi all.
Just had a ride on a Saracen Kili flyer 650B from the guys at slam69 and have fell in love, anyone else have experience of this bike? Seems Saracen are on the way back. Had been planning a 29er but this seems to tick all my boxes.

Yeap, I've got one and I really like it. I thought it looked good firstly, it rides really well. I've also got a 29er and I'd say I can man handle this a little bit more. It's done everything I've wanted it to do and I'm sure it's much more capable than I am.

I'm glad to hear you are loving your new bike or wheels.

You never know 650b wheels could be the next (industry driven) big thing. Perhaps a few more threads discussing the relative merits of wheel size would help us all agree what's best?

Waiting for 700D to be the next big thing.I mean why not? there are not enough different sizes of wheels for mountain bikes yet

I've had it since Easter, it's been to Wales a couple of times and the peaks once and then used around my local trails. I'm using it as much as my XC hard tail.

Cool. I think my ideal wheel size would be 672.3 so I'm holding out till the range improves a little.

I suspect your loving your new bike, rather than 650b specifically.

If only there was something that fell between 650b and 29-inch wheels. As things stand I find 650b slightly too small, but 29-inch just that little bit too big. Would fitting thicker rim tape to a 650b wheel make the crucial difference I wonder?

@Somouk

I believe Madison are the distributors, they are on their website.

Not sure where you can demo them?

I rode a friend of mines very briefly, looks good, I may get to through it around the North Downs a little this weekend. If I do I'll tell you more.

slam69 doesn't give me the impression of a bike shop. Seems an odd name...;o)

For those where google doesn't work ...
Does the OP have any links to the shop? As in a lot of this sounds like product placement
