Has anyone got or used the above bars?
I foolishly sold my Salsa Fargo and what you build something similar again. The Salsa had Wood Chipper bars. Can anyone compare them in experience? The price and availability of the Love Mud bars and a huge incentive.

Hi,
It is OK drop bars. However I would recommend Genetic Digest/Dajia FarBar over it.
Bomber doesn't have ergo counter drop, that was very important for my knackered wrists
Also Bomber in my opinion is not wide or flared enough.
On Funn G-Wide now, that is much better and wider, but still not ideal.
Cheers!
I.
Bomber isn't particularly wide or with much flare or much length at the bottom of the drop so those with bigger hands may not suit them. Cheap to buy and find out though...
Likewise above comments - not wide or flared anough for me. Much preferred compact road drops to the bomber. Would be good try a wider flared drop so following this thread with interest!
Like wise above, I found them great as a try out for flared drops but not wide, flared or long enough extension on the drops.
On One Midge bars?
I've got them on my old Pompino and they're pretty wide and flared. The bottom drop section is a bit shorter than the Salsa Woodchippers, but not too short.
I might have a spare set you could have for postage costs, but they're 25.4 (old bar size) not 31.8.
I've got a set you can try . £14?

I'll disagree; it's way too short for me.
FWIW I find the Genetic Digest is good. Readily available from Spa Cycles, IIRC. The only thing I don't like about it is that the centre bulge is very narrow so (broadly speaking) you can't easily mount stuff to it.
Hi,
If you are interested I made my own comparison of some Dirt Drop Bars.
Bomber also included...

Midge is not that wide, but more flared than Bomber.
All basic stats and pictures in the link.
Cheers!

Ivanmtb shame that blog doesnt clearly identify which bars are which? And also a front on pic would be usefull to compare the "horizontal flare".
I find the midge and bomber to tight on the "hooks" for my hands and the bottom extensions way too short. My favourites are still the woodchipper and cowchippers on my bikes, but not tried the genetics.
I have 2 bikes with midge bars and both have control tech terminator plugs fitted which extends the drop section by 20mm then proper old school rubber velox bar plugs. Makes them pretty much the perfect drop for me.
Considered Ritchey VentureMax? Much prefer mine to midge bars
I've got those bars on my Camino AL Apex. Compared to normal drops they do feel wide and flared but I do agree that they are not that deep versus std drops. I find that off road the flared drops are a much nicer position for my hands and less scary than normal drops when on techy stuff.
Ha just going through the process of replacing Woodchippers and final choice is Ritchey Venturemax, KTM Gravel Comp, FSA Gravel bars or 'sod it' just put the Jones Loops back on.

I will add some descriptions. Actualy never thought about it...

Ritchey got even less flare than Bomber.

I thought they were OK but just not long enough on the drops. I think they made them short to avoid knee strikes.
Didn't work for me so bought a pair of salsa woodchipper, just haven't found the time to fit them yet.
