Great pics as always.

Do you get out for a ride most days mate?

You make me feel most inadequate!

Cheers.

I get out for a really short (10km or so) ride with the dog 4 days a week, and a 'proper' length ride only once or twice each week. At the minute, since I'm a teacher, I have a fair amount of time on my hands and I live only a couple of minute's ride from the edge of the local woods so grabbing a quick hour out on the bike is pretty easy.

Well I salute you mate. All too easy to use bad weather as an excuse to stay in. For me anyway!

So there are some dry bits out there in Kent @gravesendgrunt 😕

I'm lacking enthusiasm to even go for a road gravel ride, got the next few days off so may get out then.

Just a local spin for me today. Very enjoyable to blow the cobwebs out after a couple of weeks of Christmas excess. I think I was sweating Stella!

I’ve been feeling a little odd over the last few days (random dizziness/vertigo), so my plans to ride heaps over the Christmas break have gone out of the window.
Today was a couple of hours on a very blowy Hill of Fare in Aberdeenshire.

There were indeed some dry(ish) bits, but they were connected by 30 miles of lovely Kentish mud .30 plus miles of fun though and happy memories......so do it - go outside ,ride your bike ,have fun and don't expect it to be any different to what it is.

Out early, 06:41, it was dark and foggy:
Early

While the light improved, it remained dank:

So I stopped for a coffee and cake at Phoenix Cycleworks:

171.47km distance; 7:16:02 moving time; 1,508m elevation, the furthest and longest I have every ridden, ever. My knees are quite tired, not quite sure how they'll cope with another 150km+ on Monday...

No riding today, but saw a rider. Gee Atherton to be precise, walking up Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall. He said hello as he passed. Nice chap. I papped him from the bottom...  You can quite clearly make him out in his red coat.. 😂

Woburn was surprisingly un-muddy considering all the rain we've had

Took the kids around yesterday, they loved it

Took my road bike down to my parents' house and had a couple of hours on the old local lanes.

Might just have rekindled my love for road biking after only doing about two rides previously this year.

Has a great ride today...  IN DA SUN!   Some of the trails were even firm to dry.  Glad I made the effort.

My usual attempts at making my doorstep riding exciting. It's been a while since I've done this loop, or a ride as long as 25 miles so did actually quite enjoy it. Was intending to video but set up camera really badly.

Rode along these rocks with one or two dabs until the front wheel started sliding due to algae coating. Lost my nerve after that, turned round and walked most of the way back to here:

Battery ran out by the time I got to the XC section.

Did a local lap today, first in ages. Muddy but we really enjoyed it, fun sliding around and it wasn't raining!

Second ride on my Ripley. Even muckier than Cwmcarn last week! Brechfa Black and Red. Always a tough day out. I've ridden it wetter tho and it wasn't cold.

Bike and kit properly filthy tho.

We are at the in-laws in Purbeck. There is a total, non-negotiable ban on bikes inside so we have been out walking instead.
Had a fantastic few days. What a lovely part of the world.

Up North for the celebrations. Yesterdays ride was in fine rain for most of the day Woke up this morning to find there had been a strong frost and although setting off was cold once on the trails the sky's were blue and the trails firm and frozen.

Glorious day down in the Tweed Valley...and yet pitch black in the trees and low sun made picking lines in the open really bloody hard. Still, much fun.
