I've been back from my hols for two weeks now ! So that's 4 weeks of the bike . So I forced myself to go for a ride, my word I wish I never ,I could not get into it at all . I'm going out again tomorrow because in just writing this the memory of my mate who died of cancer has just cropped up ! ..... Thanks Matt
you dont have to ride. no point in forcing it. sometimes i go months without going for a ride. sometimes i ride ride more than once a day. its just a fun hobby at the end of the day, forcing it will probably just make it less enjoyable for you
Why force it? Its not a job. Ride when you want to not because you feel you have to.
Yeah I think you guys are right
I spent 6 months trying to motivate myself to train on the road for a London to Paris in 24 hours Charity ride - hated almost every minute I spent on the bike except, weirdly a 13 mile hilly TT and the ride to the start and back home! I've been back from the ride for 3 weeks, ridden the MTB twice and really enjoyed it - what Hora says above seems to be true! Try something different. On the plus side, the fitness seems to have carried over 😀
I feel a bit like that at the mo.... Was going great before i went on hols for 2 weeks at the end of May. Good long distance ride/ sportive times, TT times were quite good etc, especially considering i nearly broke my neck in an MTB crash in Feb.
Since i came back from holiday, that was mid June...i just can`t be arsed! TBH.....
It will come back, "the MOJO" but in the mean time i did find another "MOJO"
I guess its not so bad after all...... 😉
Yeah, sorry. I meant to say that i also agree with hora!
