I kind of did that once - over-excitement. 😀 🙄 Realised half way down Spooky so went back for it ...... and my Camelbak.
I know it sounds daft, but I didn't even notice it was missing after I'd gone over the bars at a rooty step down on the Pie Run. We stopped for a quick break after Magic Mushroom, and when we went to set off again, I realised I didn't have my helmet. I assumed I must have broke a strap and lost it when I had my off, so took a fire road back up and checked but it wasn't there. I then remembered taking it off at the top of spooky woods, and must have done the same as Diane, forgetting to reattach it to my noggin due to the anticipation of the descent. We were now running late so didn't have time for another run 🙁 I called the ranger this morning and he said nothing had been handed in, but he'll give me a call if it turns up 🙂
