You know how some rides you flow through singletrack, some rides you're a little off form and it just doesn't work.

The latters been happening to me a bit lately, mostly I think cos I'm tired and less awake (young baby).

My bikes are all fairly steep, 70/71 ish head angle and I wondered if all this 'new school' slacker geometry stuff might be easier to ride (less twitchy etc) when tired and a bit dopey.

I guess another way of putting it is, is my loss of form a good excuse to buy a new bike?

You can't blame the bike.... Maybe your tiredness is causing you to drop your head.

When my riding is bad, it's usually because i'm not looking far enough ahead down the trail...

Get a new bike anyway.

Skills session? Will do more for your riding than a new bike. Cheaper too 🙂

Pop to see your GP and see if he will prescribe you a course of HTFU.

🙂
