Hi,

I have just put my old 11 XT cassette on some new JRA wheels with 11 speed hubs but I cannot get the cassette tight. I don’t think I’m meant to add a spacer so any other ideas please? JRA not open till Monday to ask them.

You’ll need the 10/11 spd spacer that JRA say come with the wheels?

Use the spacer. The 11 speed ref on the hub is for road cassettes whereas 11 speed MTB cassettes have the same spline length as 10 speed.

Brilliant, thank you. Put the spacer in and all is good.

We need a sticky thread on this!

Right after the one on how to remove and fit a tyre, the one on fitting tubeless tape and the one on bleeding Shimano brakes properly.
