Afternoon all, hoping someone may be able to help me here,

I'm working on an 'old school' project and currently trying to rebuild a pair of old Marzocchi Shiver single crown forks. I need bushes and seals. Is there anywhere that might still have old stock?

Or, does anyone have a pair they no longer use and would be willing to sell me? I'd love to get these back on the go and whilst modern forks are no doubt much better I really liked these.

Any help is much appreciated, cheers!

Thanks Aphex_2k

The dual crown and single crown are unfortunately different - 35mm vs 30mm, which is a shame as it seems to be much easier to get the 35's

Seals look like they are shared across a few forks so that is promising, I'll take a chance and try those. Do you know if Enduro seals are any good or not?

Bushes is an unknown, and I haven't been able to find anything on this yet...

Cheers!

I can't help you but get some pictures up anyway.

I blew the dust off one of my old forks for a quick size comparison.

oh... and the blue enduro fork seals are one of the worst MTB products i've ever used..

theyre akin to adding a horrid scratchy friction damper to your fork... 🙂

No idea my friend! I just had a spare 10 mins and had a little Google. Maybe hit up somewhere like TF Tuned or the likes and see if they could offer any ideas?

(Staring at an old set of SID's and Bomber z3.5 I need to fix up.... Another project I've yet to start!)

Check out PJN and Windwave's ebay account (they used to be Marzocchi's UK Distro) if no luck there then drop them an email as they may have some stuffed in a corner of the warehouse

Items for sale by pjn30 | eBay

Windwave | eBay Stores

I found a chap in the US with a hoard of obsolete marzocchi parts.  Cant remember his name now tho but it might help your search

That Orange Bomber Z1 BAM (Bomber Aerospace Material!) is Mountain Biking Royalty. Game changer.

The size difference is quite surprising!

As mentioned above, the original Z1 was a game changer! Heavy but so plush!

Pace RC forks were around at the same time and were also a fantastic fork which weren't too heavy at all.

I miss my youth haha!

I'd much rather be young now with an awesome bike rather than an unsuitable XC hardtail where the headtube snaps off all the time! I used to break frames, hubs, BB's, rims, cranks etc on an almost daily basis. Not ideal when you're a teenager with no income who thinks they're Martin Ashton.

So envious of the kids you see at BPW and in the Alps on full suspension bikes. I was a grown man before I rode down an actual mountain.

Serviced many pairs of both. The Pace was a well sorted fork once the double lip seals were installed instead of the single lip from factory. That and regular strip, clean, regrease and rebuild. Was really easy to do as well. The performance from it's relative simplicity was great!

Rockshox in that era were crap. Manitou even worse.

I had a shiver sc - maybe I still do, on a loaner bike that a friend is using

AFter a few years of ownership I sent it off for a service.  Report was interesting; basically, once they'd drained out the swamp water 😳 and regreased it was in excellent condition

Seals are no problem : 30mm m-arch Kit : removed link

Also available in USA from selling partner SRP - removed link

Shiver SC Bushings is an open project wish got some push this year, I got several requests as Shiver SC is still a fork with is still in users interest. I will got for it now.
This bushings are the same type as Shiver DC and Monster, which have been produced 2 times with very good results - so that will be no problem.

I also have created several other parts for Shiver's, check my Shiver page here : removed link

And don't forget to check my Marzocchi Manuals Repository : removed link

All the best!
