I have a 2012 Scott Foil. It's fine apart from what seems like a loose front mech mount.
And I'm wondering about a repair and single colour respray.
Though a 2012 it's not had any use since 2017.
Are there any first hand experiences on here or good recommendations. Otherwise it'll be a transplant onto a cheap frame.
I've just had some repair work carried out by Carbon Bike Repair via insurance following a crash.
Looks a very thorough and well-finished job - but it was not quick or cheap and their comms / process had serious flaws leading to an ongoing dispute.
Rob Hayles (as in ex pro cyclist) - Re-Carb on Twitter does excellent carbon repairs - done my frame and a couple of riding mates. Repair was outstanding and you can't even tell it was done - paintjob was perfectly matched.
He's pretty reasonable price wise - well very reasonable compared to cost of even a poor quality new frame.
Their work is very impressive, mate had a frame repaired recently (seatpost mast cracked as he was being a wally and didn't follow the min insertion!) Couldn't tell if the frame has been repaired, fit of the seatpost is better than trek managed!
Sir beat me to it - Target Composites from me too
+1 for Rob Hayles. He fixed two cracks in my frame at a good price.
