Pedals may be an addition to my new build in the near future. I've got some old XT M8020 trail pedals with a platform at the moment and am going to use them for now, but do like the look of the Looks. Has anyone tried them? How do they compare to the older XT?
Can’t help with comparison but I’ve been running a set of the enrage plus since May. Other bikes are on Saint but wanted some thing that ran on cartridge bearings after endless faff trying to take up play in one of the saints.
They work. Can crank up the tension tighter than Shimano if you want to. Look good. Will buy again if I need mire pedals.
I've asked the same in the past, with limited success. User reports on those pedals are few and far between. I hate the weird float of CB and Times, but the way Shimano pedals tend to release my feet unexpectedly makes me return to flats every time I experiment with clips.
Are cleats compatible with Shimano? Mechanism looks v. similar.
Yes. I’m using shimano cleats (snd gave the look to someone riding shims I pedals as it happens)
@b33k34 do you feel any difference in float vs the Shimanos? The Looks supposedly have an extra degree of float. Also, besides the extra tension, are they better at unwanted releases?
I have some but haven't used them that much (I prefer flat pedals) even on the slackest setting they feel tighter to me,there are two different cleats available but I can't for the life of me remember what the difference between them is

They do an easy release cleat
@zezaskar can't say one way or the other on any of that. Attraction for me was the bearings.
Are yours holding up OK?
only been on since May.
