I have always used Shimano SPD or SPD -R pedals.
Looking for some new pedals for my pre-ordered gravel bike and I noticed that Look are doing SPD compatible pedals.
I want to use SPD and not change cleats and if the Look pedals are any better or worse than equivalent Shimano offerings?
I want something with a bit of a cage to make using it with normal shoes easier, for popping to the shop etc.
Both the Look En-rage and the Shimano ME700 fit the bill and are about the same price.
Any experience of the Look pedals?
Tried the X-Tracks and like them a lot. Felt a little more secure than Shimano, bit of a firmer feeling to unclip, which was great with worn cleats, felt like I could get longer out of a set before they needed replacing. Can't comment on durability of the bearings as it was a relatively brief period, but given other Look pedals riding pals use they should be good. My XT Trail pedals are still going strong 8 years later though!
