So, has official trail development started or does someone think they own the sole rights to the trails? Coming down from the trig point someone has put in a rock step an 18 inch wooden drop (since wednesday night) and then since yesterday they've taped the damn thing of with MRP branded tape!

No mate not the same tape, woddys had red and white hazard tape this has the MRP logo. It's like the stuff you see sectioning off downhill courses. It was also used as tags on trees all the way up to the bottom of Phoebe's from the main gate, you'll see on wednesday night. What pisses me off is the fact there is no rought around the drop for those who aren't confident to do it. I did it no problem myself but others might not want to be forced into a 2 foot drop, and it does got a fair bit of use down there. Not only that, the way the tape has been used to section it off.

Maybe a bit of trail clearing on Wednesday then? I've mailed Eamonn to see if it might be him or Martin or if they know anything.

Sorry, lads, but the way I see it is that there isn't a problem.

Looking at the photos, if riders don't want to do the jump just go round it, i.e. through the tape.
Or alternatively, grow a pair & MTFU, pedal like **** & just 'ave it!

All IMHO of course......

😉

That's the problem though innit Gaz, you can't go round it, it's shoved in between two trees. And I do have big enough balls to ride it, that happened just after I landed and the swelling started. Where you been hiding anyway :P.

Yo can ride round the tape without issue, just can't understand why somenoe's effectively littered the place with it. Bad enough with the Boggies affiliate making there mark on the trig point.

I have seen a certain uni club using that tape. They may need to be a little more subtle about their use of private land.
