I have a T129RS 2016 and am looking at increasing the travel on the fork to 140mm (so up by 20mm). This will obviously raise the BB (though I am not sure I can face the maths to work out how much?) and wonder about offsetting this by slackening the head angle with a works angle set (or similar). Has anyone done something similar? And any recommends on how many degrees it should be? Prob get the LBS to fit it cos I have been told it is a bit tricky!

When you take say and head angle into account, the extra 20mm isn't all that much... Id try it first. The angle headset will offset it, but the headset itself might add more stack height too.

Would a cheaper option not be to add a set of off set bushes?

Rule of thumb is about 0.9 degrees slacker per inch. So you're looking at say 0.8 degrees on the static figure for 20mm.

Factor in sag, and you're looking at approx 0.2 to 0.3 degrees when you're on it. Doubtful you'll notice the change in head angle. Much more likely to notice the change in weight distribution IMO, what with higher bars and canted back a bit.

You'll in to 2-4 mm BB height change at most with those marginal figures.

cheers for the advice! On the basis that I seem to be the king of pedal strikes a small lift on the BB would be of benefit. I'll get the forks sorted and try it out.
