A couple of us are thinking of nipping out to the alps in Sept to squeeze in a long weekend biking. Can you guys reccomend a company to use with good (not too technical riding) for some alpine virgins?
Long weekend is the maximum we can really get away due to young kiddies..
Flying to Geneva from Scotland.

Cheers

Anyone got some reccomendations of a company that they have used for a long weekend as the ones i have been in contact with only quote for week breaks, or is it unpractical to try and squeeze in a weekend trip?

I asked pretty much the same question a few weeks back and got pretty much the same response...ie none. Good luck with the trip, post up anything you find out won't you?

Well none until Jedi replied whilst I typed my response...

Its pretty easy to DIY it in Morzine. There won't be many lifts open in Sept but enough for a weekend especially if you don't mind a bit of climbing. Loads of hotels will happily to take your money as the summer season has finished and the ski season is a while off, just email a few directly. You'll probably need to sort your own transfer out, too. Maybe hire a car if there is a few of you. That gives you more flexibilty for riding, too, with the limited lifts and you can go white water rafting on the way back to Geneva 🙂

Jamie and Mary Ride The Alps . Great riding and a hugely experienced guide. Does centre based weekends as well in the Morillon/ Samoens area. Highly recommended.

Have many companies turned you down?

Surprised if so. Most companies i have dealt with have been v flexible.

Maybe try white room. they did us for 4 or 5 days last summer

I'm sure the Trail Addiction website says they'll do long weekends if possible.
