Went to Long Mynd on Friday and did the MBR route.
Very hilly and not as much downhill as I though but all in all was a good day.
Here is an edit that I have made from my GoPro footage if you're after a bit of evening watching. Sorry for the shaking, my camera is before the days of Hypersmooth 😬 and it's not me shaking in fear 😂.
Nice video!
@jamj1974 thankyou for taking the time to watch it! Pleased that you liked it!
Really good like the shaking gives a better impression of the terrain.
Nice - I've only ridden round there on the roadbike and that's not what I expected the offroad to be like - may have to make a day trip!
@velocipede ye it was really good, brilliant views from the top!
@enterusername It is my favourite place to ride in the UK. Luckily, I live in Brum, so it’s not too far away. You capture a lot of what I love - although there are some more technical descents to be found! It rewards exploration!
looks good, will add that to my list do you have a gpx file I can import to Komoot?
Sweet video and tune. Some real nice riding on The Mynd, very much a winch and plummet kinda day but a rewarding one. There is an online map that you can print off and use to make a selection of loops. Minton Batch was running ace when we went last, but it looks like the campsite descent has washed out some. That's one rut you do not want to be in at speed.
As jamj1974 says, its defo worth a bit of exploring as loads of other bits to ride.
@mattcartlidge there is a map here of all the official MTB trails: (shorturl.at/ioqPX)
And this is the route that I used:( https://www.mbr.co.uk/routes/northern-england/long-mynd-gps-download-shropshire-318467)
Hope this helps
@carlos thankyou I'm pleased that you liked it, yes we did notice the huge ruts that were formed next to the campsite, they'd catch more than your front wheel I reckon!
