evening all,

Would a long cage rear mech (on a road bike) have an adverse affect on the smooth running of the drive train if running an 11-25 cassette?

cheers

It heavier. It'll be like dragging a trailer around I'd guess.

Mate I'm so fat I wouldn't notice the extra weight. But would it have an adverse affect in the running of the chain or shifting?

Have similar cassette ratios with a long cage on my commuter, shifts perfectly. Used short cages in the dim and distant past, when weight saving was everything, but never noticed any advantages.
