anyone know of any stockists of Giro shoes in London - preferably centralish?
or alternatively, anyone know how their sizings come up?
Haven't seen any in stores on my recent visits (A couple of weeks ago now), but will be popping in to my LBS in town (Cycle Surgery Victoria) on the way home. Will have a look and see if they have any for you.
Not really London but I know Sigma in Kingston had some.
thanks captainflash, much obliged
I might try On Your Bike at London Bridge
sigma in Kingston only stock road stuff don't they?
Fit is the same between road and MTB.
On Your Bike don't have Giro shoes, they stock Shimano and Northwave (I was working there on Saturday).
ha! good knowledge! thanks MrP
Kingston is a bit of a trek for me, but good to know
No joy, sorry.
Size wise they come up a touch bigger than Shimano and have a slightly bigger toe box.
no worries, thanks flash
.
mtbmatt, how to Shimano compare to Specialized? sorry, don't know Shimano shoes.
think I might just take a punt, I can always send them back.
Haven't used Specialized for years, so they might be different but Spesh were also a little bigger in the toe box, but similar length I think.
Northwave are even wider than them all and Sidi are narrower than them all - if that helps at all.
cheers matt, I've tried SIDIs on and they've been ok
my Spesh have gone a bit baggy after a few years so I don't mind if they're a bit tight to start with
so, sizing of Giro Gauge compared to Specialized BG Comps
- slightly shorter in length
- smaller toe box
- slightly narrower
the latter may be due to my Specialized's stretching over the past few years
first impressions are very good!
