Getting a bit annoyed with the mounting bracket on my Maxx-D (the one attached to the light itself) coming lose and the light swivelling. My fault in a way - I have to underbar mount it on the road bike because of various other bar stuff, which means I occasionally catch it with my knee.

Obviously I could epoxy it but having broken one before I want to be able to replace it in case of a big stack.

Tried Loctite 248 without much success. Just giving some 638 a try

Is there anything else that could work?

Not sure 638 will be the one, not the application it’s meant for. Sure someone will have a better idea

I'd honestly be surprised in that application if 248 wasn't sufficient. IE that the bolt loosening off & losing the clamping force was the cause of your problem. If the threads have been cleaned and the filled with the 248 it should be plenty. 270's the high strength stuff. Says permanent but it can still be undone especially with the assistance of some heat.

Daft question, but are you using the silicone band?

I’ve used a dab of 243 over the years on various Exposure mount/bike combos and never had an issue.
