I hear they are doing some work up there at the moment but not sure exactly what this means? Can you still ride it? If not, any alternatives that are just as fun?

We were up there a couple of weeks ago. rode over from Castleton and it was closed and fenced off from where it enters the first wooded section about 400m from the top of the climb up from the outdoor centre, we turned back and went down Hagg Farm so it knocked off about 1/4 of the ride
