Cycling along a Moor Road this morning I saw a group of 4 roadies riding towards me. I asked if they were from the same household but got no reply. About an hour later I saw them again stopped on a bridge on a nature reserve.
This time I stopped and asked the same question. The reply was no we are just smiling and having fun. One of them said come on smile have a laugh like we are. I replied 10000 deaths is nothing to smile about is it. His response Well we can't do anything about that. I said we can ride alone, he said That won't make any difference 🤔 The woman then snapped We're all from the same household OK? Judging by the ages I'm not convinced. Just wound me up and wondered why I let myself get involved. 🙄
Honest to ****. Letting your day be affected by the actions of other, over which you have next to zero control, is bonkers. You don't even know if they're not in the same household. I know on my street their are a few multigenerational households or folk with several adult kids back home due to the lockdown.
By going out for a ride on your own and acting responsibly you're already setting the right example so keep on doing that.
