You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Will be landing Friday for a weekend riding and wondered if anyone has any good routes.
We'll be hitting Degla Friday and we'd normally go on to do Marin, C-D-B but wondered if there's some hidden treats closer to where we're staying.
I have the Megadegla routes if thats worth doing? Other couple of routes are;
Singletrack Classic Ride 121 - Clwydian Hills
Clwydian Hills MBR Killer Loop
We're almost 50, enthusiastic and relatively fit riders. We do love Marin and C-D-B and that type of riding.
Are the two linked above gives us that Singletrack riding fun or should we travel to familiar haunts?
Cheers
Also interested, so watching.
But you tried Penmachno? Just before the Marin if you're coming from that way (left at conwy falls cafe).
Only the once Chevy, was holidaying with the family but didn't overly enjoy it. Seemed to be pedalling constantly.
Deserves a second chance to be fair to it so it should be on the list as an option.
Loop2 is pedally. Loop one is aces. (I still like loop2 - but it's marmite for most).
Click here then scroll down to "The Clwydian Range" or "The Ceiriog Valley and Llangollen". You can't go wrong its all good.
i wasnt a fan of penmachno, it was totally overgrown and although a dry day we were soaked through from the overgrowth.
last time i went to llandegla, we did the worlds end sidetrip that was a good ride, enjoyed the singletrack scree hillside.
not got a route but commentary below

Also Llandegla Moors;
I was near the Marin last week, so pedalled there from our campsite above Llanwrst with the intentions of doing a lap. Apart from the first stretch of trail from the car park and the final descent, I didn't actually ride the trail center as I kept getting distracted by all the cheeky stuff.
Keep your eyes open and it not hard to spot. Lots of it was near the Purple routes return. Don't set off down the final descent without checking out the drop below you on the left either, its a big un!
Also check out the Ceiriog trail, there is the upper ceiriog and lower ceirog trail and they can also be combined into a big all day ride, they are marked on the OS maps, its mainly bridleways and old drovers roads, they are all signposted and takes you over the Berwyn foothils and is quite remote and rugged in places, but its fairly dry at the moment so the trails are good. Its a pretty epic ride on a nice sunny day, best aviod if its wet and windy though.
Some lovely moorland singletrack above Trevor rocks/hall, loamer simpson and friends on the other side are insane. And also world's end...
