Does anyone know if the car park at Llandegla opens earlier than 9am?

I need to do an early one this weekend and wondered if they leave the gates open and allow you to pay afterwards?

If not is there anywhere close to park? I've noticed in the layby on the approach it says no parking.

Cheers

The gates are locked until the opening times. As you approach from the main road and turn onto the access road, turn immediate right. There is a public lay by there (we have parked there to walk our dogs for a few hours)
But if you can pop into the cafe and spend some cash on a brew after your ride 😀

Excellent, thanks for that.

Don't worry always spend a few quid in the café 🙂 - the size of the slices of toast alone are enough to last me a week 🙂

If they had a system to park early and just leave the cash or pay later I would prefer that tbh, easier for days I need to get away early.

Make the ride better and park up world's end and cycle across the offas dyke bridleway. Great trail back down to the car.

How much is parking? Do you pay inside or do you need correct change for a machine?

Do you have a Strava or route link for this? Quite fancy it next time I go.

@ Olly2097

good idea, my problem is I need to be riding around 7am to make it worth it.

If it's a pay and display would be idea.

Any references to location? I think I've done that route many years ago from Llandegla, turn left near the top of the climb, back to the forest via some planks.

Car park/centre opening times are limited to daylight hours (with extensions negotiated for the wednesday nights) under their ongoing planning permission (which is regularly reviewed).
