We're looking at ebikes for my wife and have seen a Liv Vall e+ that she really likes. It has a sync drive sport motor instead of a Shimano or Bosch unit. Does anyone know someone who has either the women's or mens version of this bike that can say whether the motor is decent or not? No chance of trying anything due to shortages so would just have to buy online and get it delivered to a local shop where we could return it to in the future if anything went wrong with it.

The Giant motor will be fine. I think it might be a Yamaha. The most important thing that makes a motor good is the warranty and dealer back-up.

Embolden e+2 here. Works well, although barely been used.

😀The reason for the title was that I needed a speedy answer because there was only one left, and there seems to be a larger majority of guys on here than the fairer sex. They've all got far better things to do on a Saturday evening.
It's been bought, so maybe she'll come and hang out on here to join in the arguments about ebikes. Actually.... maybe she's on here already?

Hope she enjoys the bike 🙂

You need to have a word with yourself about using phrases such as the fairer sex though.

Maybe everyone needs to ask themselves why the original title didn't include women anyway. As far as I know women can have wives and girlfriends too.
I'll think harder before rushing a question out on a bike forum and expecting the replies to be about bikes.
She's very excited about getting it. It's really hard trying to find anything in stock at the moment and there aren't many female specific bikes around. The top tube height on the mens were a bit of an issue and she didn't want it to look 'blokey'. Anyway.... it was much harder spending her money than it would have been spending mine. It'll all be worth it now she can ride further with me and laugh when she overtakes me up hills. I think this is why people need to give ebikes a break sometimes.

My Mam has that bike. It's great fun, I was impressed by it.

OP said: "Maybe everyone needs to ask themselves why the original title didn’t include women anyway. As far as I know women can have wives and girlfriends too."

Well then the woman would have been just as likely to have one as the wife or girlfriend.
But you make a good point about unconsciousness bias.

Anyhow, hope your wife enjoys the bike.

Edited because I can never seem to use the quote function properly!
