OK guys and gals. Im building up my bike with a xtr e type mech and raceface evolution cranks from my five. Thing is the chain catches on the e type mech plate. I'm unsure about adding an additional spacer as the inner bb tube would then be too short.
Any ideas how to get this going?
So this is the issue https://goo.gl/photos/h2u4JPSMUV2wJJW27
Chain rubs on plate in low low gears.
Spacing the bb puts too much tension in the cranks ( raceface evolve)
Any ideas at all I'm stuck
Is there a spacer in the other side of the bb that you can move across?
Dunno which frame you've got, but did you see this: "Do not use the plastic washer coming with the derailleur. The derailleur has to be bolted directly to the frame!" from here?
There is no washer on the non drive side
The derailleur is bolted directly to the frame
It seems that it needs another spacer on the drive side but then the cranks are too tight
Does it have the 1mm spacers on the crank spindle? Which side(s)are they on? Might have to put them both on the same side (top right in this pdf - if you have a microscope!)
