Can anyone tell me where you link up the Marin trail to the loop arond Capel Curig and Trefiw etc, or does anyone have some altrnaitive suggestions to link the Marin onto some good natural trails round there ? I'm looking for about a 50k route. A GPX would be great.
Thanks

This is uploaded too, but I've not ridden the southern loop:

Thanks Simon. I'd guessed that the fire road down to Llyn Crafnant was one way of getting down to the Capel Curig loop. I wondered if there were any other more interesting or cheeky was to link them up ?
Have you or anyone tried the cheeky routes down into Trefriw as well ?
No sorry I don't know the area well enough for cheeky! The highlight of me is the rocky shoreside bridleway of Lynn Cowlyd. That and the enormous road climb to get there... It's a tough route considering the low mileage.
Bump - anyone else ?
This is one I have done a couple of times......

I do part of Marin first, and then over to Capel and onto Llyn Cowlyd. Descent to Capel is great, climb from A5 upto Lynn Cowlyd a pain, it is very boggy. Instead of following bridleway as it is on the map, continue to follow the old track upto the canal (left at cross tracks) on map, and then follow canal back round to rejoin BW.
Simon1975 is right, track along shore line is great.
Hard work on the tandem though!
