You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Was having a mooch on the Paul's Cycles website and noticed that the bargain Cannondale Trigger has a sign on it saying that "because of limited availability, Cyclescheme isn't possible on this bike" - why ever not?
I can't claim to know the Cyclescheme in intimate detail but I thought the bike shop got the full amount for the bike because my employer stumped up the 'tax balance'.
Bike shop only receives 90% of the sale price of the bike from the scheme provider (85% if it's a halfords based scheme) who in essence buys the bike on behalf of the customer.

Thank you, I did not appreciate that the shop took a hit on the selling price. That also explains why some other shops advertise that Cyclescheme bikes incur an additional 10% charge.
I spoke to pauls about getting a trigger 4 on the scheme and they said it could be done but i would have to pay an extra £100 as they would make a loss on the bike otherwise.
