I've been running Roubaix Pro tyres in 25/28 on the road bike for winter/spring and have been really happy with them. Good price, good grip and seem pretty resilient.
I need new tyres for commuter wheels on my gravel bike and would love these but I have clearance for something much wider and that would make for a nicer commute. The Roubaix tubeless comes in at 32mm I think but I run tubes and my experience of tubeless tyres with tubes has been one of struggling to get them on or off.
Happy to go up to 40mm, does anyone have any suggestions?
I use Panaracer Gravel King Slick on my Roubaix Road bike in 32mm, tubeless, but they are a light cheap tyre. Tightness is often down to the rim.
Thanks, I've heard they are pretty prone to punctures, how have you found them?
Never had one
Teravail Rampart? I replaced a Gravel King slick with one and happy with it. Mine are 38, dunno if they go wider
The Gravel King wore out on the back in record time for me, so while it rode very nicely I didn't want another one. The Rampart is more substantial, but obviously it weights more too.
Also there's the Schwalbe G One Speed.
G One Speed. It's not exactly slick, but it's pretty damn close. I run 35s as road tyres, they have been good.
WTB Exposure in a 36mm? Â I like mine and they can be had fairly cheap if you hunt around.
